YELLOW Winter Homework
YELLOW - WINTER TERM
For the Winter term the Yellow students will continue to build a repertoire of songs and rhymes and have a positive experience in the group with music each week.
NOTE WRITING: The Yellow students will now learn to write the rhythms using stick notation on special lined sheets to prepare them for reading notes on the staff in the Green level.
Rhythm Names: Again we will use TA (quarter note) TEE TEE (eighth notes) and the quarter note rest.
Melody Charts: Along with rhythm training the children will continue to use Melody charts to develop pitch training.
WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART: For the Winter term we will listen to the music of Mozart. Please play Mozart music in the home while the children are colouring their weekly handouts.
The piece of music by Mozart I want the children to recognize is called: EINE KLEINE NACHTMUSIK.
HOMEWORK WEEK BY WEEK: For Winter we are starting on Lesson 15. Workbook page numbers are in brackets.
